Good to know
Do I need an appointment?
Yes — we groom by appointment so each dog gets the table to themselves. Give us a call and we'll find a time that works, usually within the week.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Most curly and doodle coats do best every 4 to 6 weeks before matting sets in. Short, smooth coats can stretch to 8 to 12 weeks with a bath and de-shed in between. Not sure? Call and describe the coat — we'll tell you honestly.
What should I bring to the first visit?
Just your dog and their vaccination record. If there's anything we should know — hip trouble, skin sensitivities, a fear of the dryer, a haircut you loved last time — tell us at drop-off.
What if my dog is matted?
Severe matting pulls at the skin and can't always be brushed out safely. If that's the case we'll talk it through with you first and choose the option that's kindest to your dog, which sometimes means a shorter cut.

We're in Mahopac and regularly see dogs from Mahopac Falls, Carmel, Putnam Valley, Baldwin Place, Somers, Lake Peekskill, Shrub Oak, Yorktown Heights, Cortlandt Manor, Katonah and Brewster.
